Art education can be seen as art intervention that provokes thought and discourse in communities. Art practitioners can provide direct entry into creative process informing the design of much needed art programs. When the practitioner and educator are the same person, the challenge of balancing both roles can require specific focus on each during an artistic career and creative life.
